Happy New Year from Unity Medical Center!
The new year has started and we're sad to see 2021 go, but happy to see a new chapter open for our community, our patients, and our facility.
A new year is an opportunity for all to set new goals, achieve new success, and grow. We encourage everyone to reflect on this past year and look for ways to improve, or find new dreams to chase.
Ask yourself:
What would you like to be your biggest triumph by the end of the year?
What brings you the most joy and how are you going to do more of that?
What is one change you could make to your lifestyle that would give you more peace?
At the end of the year, how would you like your life to be transformed?
These questions can help to guide us all to new heights, and we know you can achieve them.
We also want to focus on the continuing importance of COVID-19 precautions. As the Omicron variant moves through the country we have seen an upward trend in cases. While the symptoms of Omicron are more mild, and quarantine times have been shortened, it is important to remember that it is our responsibility to protect our health and consider the health of those around us.
The CDC has covered Omicron very well and suggests these actions to avoid catching the variant:
Get vaccinated, wear a mask in public indoor settings of substantial or high community transmission (regardless of vaccination status), and get tested if you are unsure of your symptoms! Convenient, at-home self tests can be purchased in the event that you find the need to be tested.
Thank you for all your support over the past year, and we wish you the best of health!
